This portrait series is an exploration on the luminous journey of self-expression, utilizing vibrant hues and practical effects through bubbles and natural light; Prismo, c. 2024 is an exploration on technical effects and conceptual connection.
Drawing on the symbolism of bubbles, flowers, and butterflies; each photoset, with its own colors, models, aesthetics; represents distinct worlds, interconnecting through similar shapes and patterns. Although, each set is different in palette, bubbles are a constant theme used to symbolize an interdimensional connection to them all. The geometric, hand shapes in front of the eye, a portal peeking through each other's worlds.
Behind the scenes
The use of natural light enhances the tactile beauty of these elements, grounding the dreamlike visuals in a tangible reality. Vibrant makeup and outfits underscore the theatrical nature of self-expression, while the natural motifs remind us of the grounding, cyclical rhythms of life. Prismo Series no.1, invites viewers to immerse themselves in the visual poetry of connection, through expression.
